2012 will NOT have any Federal Tax Credits. They all expire at the end of 2011.
If you are waiting for tax credits you will be waiting for a while. If they do come back look for $200 for windows and $500 for doors.
Energy bills still rising every year so the need for homeowners to replace their old windows with new energy efficient windows is high. As materials used to manufacturer energy efficient windows rise so will the price to buy them. 10%-20% a year is forecasted by manufacturers.
Old Tax Credits:
- 2008 $200 windows and $500 doors – can not be combined
- 2009 $1,500 windows and doors
- 2010 $1,500 windows and doors
- 2011 $200 windows and $500 doors – can not be combined.
- 2012 NO TAX CREDIT
